We are Gill and Alan, this website is about our treks around Europe in our Hymer motorhome.

Our motorhome adventures began in 2015 after we purchased a used Hymer B544 from Peter Hambleton (now retired) at Bamber Bridge. A 2004 vehicle, the B544 Hymer served us well as our introduction to life on the road in a motorhome.

We replaced our Hymer B544 in 2016, purchasing a nearly new Hymer B544 Premiumline after selling our first motorhome privately. We really like the layout of the B544 model because it has a lot of space for sitting. The newer vehicle has many good features such as automatic transmission that make long journeys easier.

Our annual mileage is around 9,000 miles, most of which is in Europe. Before having the Hymer motorhome our only experience of France was Paris on a short holiday. We were not impressed by the Parisians, however, since travelling in different parts of France we have found a completely different French nation.
